    No justification has been provided for the removal of this magnificent tree. It should be preserved, for the benefit of the whole community.

    It looks perfectly fine to these eyes. It should only be removed on the advice of an arbourist.

    There is no justification for cutting down this tree. Just because the residents do not like raking leaves is no reason to remove a healthy tree. We are loosing the tree canopy in Epping at an alarming rate, and the council should be saving every tree it possibly can. This is not just for the current residents but for the benefit of future generations. Old trees such as this one must be saved. It is my experience that every mature tree that is removed , either nothing, or a shrub, is planted in its place. A poor substitution.
