I am very concerned on the impact of having a 5 story building next door . It will cast a shadow over our building and we were getting quotes for solar panels to be a greener building.
There are already 2 boarding houses at the other end of the street, this type of housing should be spread around "ALL" the council are not consolidated into particular streets.
We already have the pub on one side of us that can be noisy as patrons are leaving, the shops perpendicular to us means all the food delivery people to sit on our main entry waiting for deliveries.
The 10 meter neon sign is not in keeping with a residential street.
The boarding house will have basement car park and looking at the geological report they will be hitting water and will need to have pumps, yet knowing all this the Bayside council is still considering going through the build after what happenned at the end of the street???
We purchased 20 years ago and recently had our unit valued at 1.1 Million I would expect the council to reimburse the same amount should there damage to our 3bdr 160 sqm apartment should there be any structural damage of our complex due to Bayside council not taking appropiate action in ensuring the builder performs ALL the geological studies required, not just assuming that 'it should be O.K 'attitude.
The roof are has a gathering area that will be overlooking into our complex and therefore depriving us of even more privacy now that the apartments at the back of our complex can be seen into by the the apartments in Elizabeth lane.
