Is there a chance the owners could work around the tree rather than remove it especially as it is on the western boundary? If they are taken out, what will they be replaced with?
All Peninsula residents are encouraged to remember the huge number of trees that have been demolished in our area, making it (officially by heat-mapping done by Council), 4 degrees hotter than other areas. Any gardens, shrubs and especially shade trees need to be valued more now and into the future.
Can Council ensure there is on site parking for tenants? With the large increase of backyard flats in this area, there are more cars parked on back lanes making it harder for all residents to have safe access.
