123 Finch Street, Glen Iris VIC 3146

Modification of existing brick front fence to provide for a pedestrian entry. The brick fence currently has low quality decorative panels between the brick pillars. These will be replaced by wrought iron panels of the same dimensions but of high quality and in a style appropriate to the house period. The existing drive gate will be replaced with a sliding gate, also of wrought iron and in the same style as the fence inset panels. Some repairs to existing fence brickwork will also be made to repaid damage caused by ground movement. Apart from repairs, creation of a new pedestrian entry and adjustments to accommodate a sliding gate, the existing fence will remain structurally unchanged. The fence alteration is part of a re-landscaping of the front garden, which will include the resurfacing of the existing drive and the establishment of a foot path from the new pedestrian entry to the front of the house.
