I am of the understanding that the permit sought wants to remove a significant tree that is protected by a Vegetation Protection Overlay. They bought this significant architectural home along with its vegetation not so long ago understanding the tree was there and protected. The tree sits on the block and should remain in tact fully and not be removed. There is absolutely no reason that you should see these protected trees as an obstacle and a commodity. Please refuse this permit and uphold its current tree protection status and set an example given the climate emergency status the council recently set, its time to walk the walk.
