There is no exception within the realms of the VPO3 overlay that ANY vegetation be removed unless deemed dead or excessively dangerous due to disease. That is why when you buy within the VPO that you undertake a guardian like role of the vegetation. The. End.

When you buy a property in a VPO3 area you need to respect the VPO3 rules. Simply removing native vegetation to build a property is not a good enough excuse. Either build around the trees or sell the land.....

I'm a neighborhood and I know the two trees in question & someone in their wisdom planted so close to my neighbours wall. They are not even fully grown yet and already beginning to cause damage to the property, they showed me a two metre branch that came off one of the trees I just hope to God the next one does not drop on one of their young kids or come through their roof. I guess the council will have to take liability for any injury sustained or damage to their property if there not able to remove them.
