I personally do not think this application is warranted and does not rate as the block it is being built on is rather small. By building a two story house it will over power the other houses in the estate. I think it would be obtrusive to the houses surrounding the estate.

I do not want a two storey house looking over my back yard. It is not in keeping with the willunga town ship. It is not consistent with the surrounding area and other housing. People do not live in willunga to have two storey houses looking over other properties. We are not surburbia here in willunga. a 2 storey house will disrupt the common theme of the area. Others in the are are not happy about this application for this house. It is not needed in this township.

As a resident close to this development I would like to oppose the proposal for a two storey house being built. Willunga is a semi rural historic town and in keeping with the surrounding area only single storey houses should be built. The impact of this on neighbours properties will be huge as privacy will be lost and the visual impact in our area will be greatly affected. The blocks in this development are already a generous size by today's standards and the homes adjacent to this proposed development are also built on larger blocks - having space was what attracted us to build in Willunga 27 years ago. A number of years ago the Council saw fit not to go ahead with a number of proposed 2 storey residences in nearby Norman Lane. I trust the Council will continue to be sympathetic to the heritage of Willunga.

I object to the construction of a two story dwelling at 3/19 Jacobs Drive.

The majority of dwellings in Willunga have been designed and constructed to respect the historical and more traditional concept of a residential dwelling, being a large block of land with a single dwelling and more than adequate yard to landscape. This has achieved a degree of diversity yet gives an overall balance of consistency and likeness.

Over recent years the Council has taken steps to further enhance the historical and township values of Willunga recognising that this is a unique character worthy of preservation in these times. One only has to take a drive or stroll down the High St to see the post and rail fencing, the character street furniture and landscaping that has been added to confirm the village type persona that is Willunga.

Over the last 26 years I have seen the township grow. This has been largely achieved through infill within the existing town boundary. This development has been respectful of the adjoining rural land interface and the existing housing within the township. The infill with new dwellings has been relatively unobtrusive and has been achieved without significant impact on the general township character and its relationship with the surrounding rural setting. I don't believe a two storey dwelling in the proposed location is consistent with the desired and sought after character of Willunga township as expressed by the community in the recent planning consultations.

I agree with the comments, I have lived in Wilunga for 34 years seeing the town grow also. I believe a new two-storey building in this location is inappropriate for this rural township and not be in keeping with the values of the people who live here. The existing state heritage two-storey buildings were built by the Cornish quarrymen which stand out as examples of our rich history. A new two-storey building in the proposed location would change the towns character and is not in keeping with the spirit of what the community is trying to achieve.

Having moved to Willunga 8 years ago from Seaford Meadows, the ambience of the township, the large blocks, single storey dwellings are what attracted us to live here. It looked Australian rather than looking like any other housing estate in the UK like Seaford Meadows. It would be so disappointing if the council considered approving 2 storey dwellings changing the feel of the town and the historic nature of it. I work in the city and a no of my colleagues who live in the North often comment on the beautiful feel of Willunga, how they love to visit. I believe you would lose this connect with the history of the township if it started to look like everywhere else.
