This is already a busy local thoroughfare that has very narrow access for traffic and what appears to be limited parking. Duplex type constructions i believe should have a minimum road width to allow for all the extra household cars in the future and traffic flow in the present. This is not the street to have any further development without major changes to parking and traffic flow.
If council wants extra people in these suburbs the solution should be higher density housing in close / walking proximity to the existing train stations.
