I support this submission & propose that we certainly do need more of these types of beautifully designed home developments in our local area. Council should support this style of planning & construction as I know first-hand that demand by families seeking products such as this, is strong & very well received by us local residents also.

This is yet another example of planning gone mad - Potts and Weaver Sts are already clogged with cars belonging to residents or those going to the Ryde Aquatic Centre. To add 3 additional residences on this small suburban street will add further congestion on this already crowded street. Given the size of the block, I would like to see how exactly 3 residences will fit, and the extent of overshadowing and encroachment on the amenity of the existing houses.

Perhaps the residents, rather than the real estate agent, should be listened to.

This proposal should be rejected it is over development of the site and will have impacts on stormwater infrastructure a major concern for the area, including additional traffic and parking of vehicles on narrow Potts street.
The ryde community is sick of this type of development, all across Sydney people feel underserviced, overcrowded, dwarfed by high-rises, squished into train carriages and busses, smothered by streets flooded with cars and crammed onto toll roads.

I would like to know why this DA was originally for three dwellings but is currently being built as five?
Potts Street, at this particular corner is already majorly congested on any given day due to aquatic centre, gym and tennis courts patrons, and is already difficult to negotiate with cars going in every direction. These dwellings look like they have single garages and we know that every average household nowadays has two cars so there will be an extra five cars added to street parking at that already busy corner!
I am not convinced this is a safe decision. Please convince me otherwise but most importantly why was it approved for three now building five dwellings?
    Thank you.

I too would like to know why and how is it that the current build deviates so dramatically from the original Development Approval.

I have been tracking this development as I live in the street and had been optimistic that it would not be a lowest common denominator build, as has been witnessed in multiple developments in the area, given the original DA's projected level of finish. This appears now to have been thrown to the wind.

If the plan for council is to engender trust and respect from the community it purports to represent, this lack of transperancy, and seeming slide of hand, is not the way to do it.
