The jacarandas are in flower right now, they are absolutely stunning and also the source of nectar for lorikeets and other birds. It seems such a pity that a builder is recommending the removal of a beautiful tree simply in order to repair a fence. Surely there is a way to restore the fence and secure the property without such drastic action. We need to keep as many trees as possible, especially ones such as these that provide food for our native birds. We object to the removal of this tree based on the reason outlined in the application.
