I really feel like people aren’t getting the message. We’ve created a heat island on the peninsula by progressively chopping down trees and not replacing them. PLEASE stop cutting down trees. You’re turning the place into an uninhabitable desert. It’s irresponsible of council to continue to allow this.

These two beautiful native trees provide important environmental benefits to the community. I object to their removal.

Native trees should not be removed unless they are causing immediate danger to the home or its residents, or damage to underground services.

It’s time for Central Coast Council to start educating residents about the cumulative effects of removing our existing trees. One tree here, one tree there...it is adding up to thousands of trees and the lost habitat and shade is significant. The CCC DA department is the only place where the overall numbers of removed trees can be measured. Are they recording the numbers?

With the SEED consulting evidence about Urban Heat Island Effect, why aren’t CCC starting to engage with residents to explain why they should keep their trees?

Every mature tree removed should be replaced by a similar sized native tree.
Our verges can be used to plant if the private block does not have sufficient space.

Come on Council. Be part of the solution.

I object to these trees being removed as the peninsula is being stripped of vegetation and birdlife. We have heat from all the development and concrete and we desperately need more trees, not less.

Q: So the removal of these two trees are for what reason? A: space for a car port ? Native trees are messy? Native trees create trip hazards?
Please owners, trim the trees rather than take them down.
