17 Brae Street Bronte NSW 2024

Remove one (1) Acacia tree, located left side facing house. This tree is in decline showing abnormal growth and appearance. There is evidence of damages caused by Longicorn beetles. The tree may live for many years, but it is often unsafe as the trunk may snap at any time at the weakened point. Its physical condition will not recover.

I wonder if this DA has an Arborist's Report recommending removal of the tree. Further, I would like to know if pruning has been considered as an alternative in this instance. Though acacias have been regarded as weed trees, they nonetheless contribute to the local green canopy, the percentage of which Waverley Council is committed to increasing in coming years.

This wattle is an Acacia Elata and looks to be in good condition.Perhaps rather than being removed it could be pruned as a compromise to its removal.
