    I can't understand this!
With the building half built, now they want planning for 146 lots?
Should this have been done at the planning stage and not halfway through the development?

It’s about time for the Government and Councils start to take there heads out of the sand, and look at the future, with so much over development in our local community it is destroying the quality of life, peace and safety for our neighbourhood community, this is causing congestion on our streets, pressure on parking and infrastructure. Look at our past mistakes who thought plastic bags where a good idea? now we will be forever trying to fix the damage caused to our environment by them. Come on someone please stand up and say no to this overdevelopment in our neighbourhoods for the sake of making money for the developers who are destroying our suburbs without any care for the communities who have chosen to live in them for there peace and quiet and community feel. Time for a change in the attitude held by our elected council and government to start listening to the people.

We fully agree with the comments made by Graeme Gibbons & Barry Lewis. It seems the Developers have more say in our community than we the Ratepayers do who keep this council going. Centre Road now has more multi storey buiIdings than we were lead to believe would be allowed. The Developers walk away making a lot of money but leave the environment stripped of all original vegetation & in most cases nothing in the way of trees or greenery is replaced. We object to this Application . I find now it's extremely hard to negotiate our local streets at night & weekends because of the parked cars both sides of the street, this is mainly due to the fact we also have many Dual properties being erected & each appears to have 4 cars, at least 2 parked in the street. Regarding over development! in our street alone we have 26 blocks with 15 two storeys 11 single dwellings, ours being one of the singles. We urgently need Council to listen to people who have lived in & supported their area all these years who are finding their way of living & community being destroyed. .
    Peter & Noreen Hassett
