To make this clear and concise, from information given to Anderson Avenue and Rippon Street residents when opposing the boarding house in Rippon Avenue this year , Parramatta Council CANNOT / WILL NOT oppose Boarding houses in its area because of the NSW State Government's Low Income Housing Policies. They have basically thrown their hands up and will rubber stamp every boarding house application.

So either Parramatta Council needs to take a case to the Land and Environment Court on behalf of there ratepayers or we as residents need to move out. Simple as that.

In the end it's not a matter of if a boarding house comes to your street, it's a matter of how many boarding houses can they fit in your street.

    Dear John.
Our street took this case to court and we spent a lot of time and resources on this matter. Only alternative course of action is political. Trouble is, these things come in isolation and other streets say, ' why should i join your problem?'.
Please join together to halt this mess.

Hi, I am writing to object this application.

As we all know from statistics, boarding houses bring anti-social behaviours to the neighbourhood. THAT IS A FACT.

This part of Rydalmere is a quiet and family oriented area, boarding houses would change that.

There are many older & disable residents in this area, they could potentially fall to victim to boarding housing anti social behaviours.

Children and teens walk to park and school, the boarding houses would not be safe for them to do so anymore.

Local shops could be effected, potentially loosing customers and fall victim to thefts and vandalism.

Street parking would become difficult for near by residents and their visitors.

Boarding houses will reduce the value of our houses, will jeopardise our neighbourhood's security, and will bring a bad name to this council.

We need to fight for our neighbourhood, our security, and our families.
