I object to this proposed development on the grounds of noise pollution. In my opinion this type of business should only be established in a much more rural area. Certainly not in an established residential area. The matters of increased traffic and possible environmental pollution are also of a concern to me.

I would like to object to the proposed development of dog boarding kennels at 106 Berrigans Rd Mudgeeraba.
It is of my opinion that this type of business is to close to residental properties which in turn will cause to much noise pollution and traffic to the surrounding local roads.
We have alot of endangered bird species in the area also which i would hate to be scared away by barking dogs.

I’m opposing to the plan of the dog boarding kennel at 106 berrigans road Mudgeeraba.
    1. This will increase traffic that comes in and out of a small road which can’t support an easy or quick exit to the main road. In case there is a fire it wont be easy to evacuate 70 something dogs and cats from the premises. Including local and their animals from this surrounding area.
    2. Concern for those animals welfare, safety in regards to bush fire.
    3. Noise pollution from those cars and animals. Their barking and howling will echo here in the valley, would make our nights (sleepless) and days (stressful), will council attend to those dogs barking after hours?
    4. All this will devalue our properties. Families which have moved here leaving the big Cities behind to find peace and quiet , enjoyable life will be disrupted.
    5. This type off business belongs in a business district or in an aeria where no residents , neighbours living close by, or better main Rd.
    6. If we let one person start this type of business then later on anyone could get away with opening an other one here in our neighbourhood.
    7. We have a neighbour who got a fine from the Council because their dogs were barking and the same Council considering to allow a business with 70 or more dogs barking. Makes no sense.
    8. We would like to keep our neighbourhood friendly, peaceful, quiet and safe

I would like to object to this proposal as the area is both residential and semi-rural, designed for families and the environment not business that contribute to noise pollution and the degradation of the residents' standard of living and housing prices. Land next to business' such as kennels is cheap for a reason...they aren't very nice places to live next to. The current residents paid a premium so they could enjoy the serenity and beautiful native environment and could now be severely disadvantaged both in financial and quality of life terms. There is plenty of other land along the M1 or major roads where a kennel could be built which would impact neither the environment nor anyone's quality of life. I guess the finally question to the council is....would you like to be forced to live next to a dog kennel?

The traffic in our quit street will get crazy in weekends times, that’s possibly 60+ cars, in and out on a Friday and again on Mondays and craziness on school holidays. The dogs need to get out into the exercise yards, and they bark for ages. How can they stop the noise? How can they stop the smell?
I suggest a class action if it is approved, every homeowner in the area is going to be heavily affected by this decision. Will the council compensate us for the financial losses in property values if they approve this?
