is this necessary, we have already removed a number of trees from this strip and it has made it unattractive. if the tree is significant, doesn't that make it exempt from removal unless it presnts a danger?

This leucoxylon is perhaps the most significant tree on Manton st. It is a landmark and and an excellent example of this long lasting and endemic species. CCS has already removed so many trees from Port Rd recently, along with a large and historic sideroxylon on George st, Hindmarsh. This culling needs to stop. This tree belongs to the community.
