A concept development application (DA) submitted under clause 4.22 of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979 for the redevelopment of part of the existing shopping centre & ground level car parking area. The proposal is for the retention & expansion of the existing shopping centre comprising the addition of 711.6sqm of supermarket floor space, 40.8sqm of specialty retail floor space & 525sqm of commercial floor space above the existing commercial space. The proposal is also for building envelopes for 3 x 6 storey residential flat buildings comprising 128 residential apartments & private communal open space areas provided at the podium level & rooftops. 461 ground level & basement car parking spaces are to be provided. Site improvements include minor landscaping & public domain works. The application also comprises a Stage 1 detailed DA for the construction & occupation of the 525sqm commercial tenancy above the existing commercial space. The consent authority is the Sydney Planning Panel.
