We have concerns in regards to the health risks this could potentially create in the future for residents living in this area.

The microwaves from cell phone towers can interfere with your body's own EMF's causing a variety of potential health problems including:
    1.Headaches
    2.Cancer
    3.Memory Loss
    4.Birth defects
    5.Cardiovascular stress

Study has found cancer rates tripled among people living within 400 metres of a cell phone tower.

Knowing there is a risk to my family and to the rest of the community living close by, I strongly object to this project.

I would like to express my concern about the placement of this tower in a high residential area. I live in close proximity to Reservoir Rd and very concerned about possible health risks that the placement of this tower could bring to both my family and local residents. Studies have proven that these towers can cause a variety of cancers along with other health problems such as lack of concentration, headaches, sleep issues etc. I am also concerned that only a small number of local residents have been formally notified about this project. I am sure, if others had been notified, they too would be objecting to this project.

While 5G may enhance our quality of life the price we pay may be dear. Given the known health risks associated with such a development I and others in the community strongly oppose to it (DA 840/2019) with good reason.

The tower does not belong in the middle of where people are living in such close proximity as it is not only going to impact people’s health as studies reveal but also be an eyesore. No one wants the tower in the middle of their suburb hence the formal and informal protest to it. There has been a lack of community consultation about this and it seems like not everyone that should be aware of this development is. Stop this from happening so close to where people live and move it to a more reasonable location.

I see towers in many areas to cater for the growing population, communication is vital for all sorts of reasons as more and more people rely on phones, internet etc.,if we can’t get signals on our devices then we are the first to complain so without these towers our devices are useless.

5G towers and mobile phone towers have shown to be safe, and do not pose any health risks. I am an independent scientist with no affiliations or competing interests to any company or organisations, and can attest to the safety of mobile phone towers. It is pivotal that we improve our wireless connectivity in the region as Cardiff Heights and Glendale continue to have deadspots - and lack of communication is hindering our ability for the region to develop. Please ensure that this development proceed.
