If I may say so, this is a completely inappropriate development for this location. It is nowhere near a train station or a shopping centre or other areas where such developments are usually occurring. On my understanding this size development is unprecedented in this location and therefore should not be permitted. Waverley Road is busy enough as it is in peak hour. There is no safe parking on that street or in Saladin Ave as the streets simply are not wide enough to cater for parking AND traffic. We do not need more people creating more congestion issues in this area. In addition may I please kindly ask that, for the benefit of absolute transparency, the following is clarified by the relevant parties associated with this proposed development:
    1) what parking allowance will be made for each dwelling? Specifically, how many OFF STREET car spots are provided per dwelling. In addition, in respect to each dwelling, does the number of OFF STREET car spots accord with the number of bedrooms proposed each dwelling?
    2. Just for the sake of good order, please disclose in full any actual or potential conflicts of interest between decision making staff at Council /government departments and the contractors and/or trades persons and/or developers and/or owners of the land upon which this development is proposed. For the purpose of clarity this should include but not be limited to relationships of any kind between said parties.
    3. Just for the sake of good order please confirm if any benefits or advantages are or have been or will be provided to any council staff / government departments in relation to this proposed development.
I fully expect the above will be in order and in 'good faith' and I look forward to hearing confirmation on all of the above shortly. I thank you for your assistance in this matter.

I agree entirely with the comments of Jo Lucas.
This overdevelopment is not good for Mount Waverley.
The nearest railway station is kilometers away.
It is my understanding that the Council was restricting development to a maximum of 3 townhouses per block. What has happened to this new objective??

I totally concur with the above comments. This overcrowding in terms of traffic and parking was one of the main reasons that we sold up and left the area.

I have lived in this street for 24 years and was drawn to the quiet friendly, family type feeling it provided - I was also attracted by the view I had over to the Dandenongs in the distance, that view is now almost non existent due to huge houses and town houses surrounding me - there have been a lot of changes over that time and now the street is turning into an overdeveloped jungle - it is very difficult already to manoeuvre around all the cars parked in the street, which was never built for such numbers and there have been a number of accidents, as a result- I think it’s time council considered the look and vibe of the area and keep at least the last remaining features of attractiveness and appeal to this street as an inviting place where all age groups can live without feeling suffocated. And, also consider long term residents who have contributed greatly to the area but who feel they are being squeezed out of their homes without any consideration - Lastly, I think this proposed development is completely out of character for this neighbourhood and will do nothing for the good of the neighbourhood in the long run, the betterment of our street should not solely revolve around extra income for council!!!!

I totally agree with Margaret Chamberlains comments. This is an overdevelopment which destroys the amenity of the area for the long term residents. It is developer's greed and no consideration for other's amenity. Build fewer units of a higher quality than proposed.
