    Great addition to the community.

Wonderful addition to complement the families in the community and encourage safe, healthy outdoor activities for the littlies

Great to see some nature play being included but it'd be beneficial to include locally indigenous (including winter flowering gums) tree species in the landscaping palette to replace the 3 trees being removed (healthy mature trees that are currently valuable food and habitat trees for our urban fauna, including flying foxes & birds, which are struggling particularly at this dry time). It'd also be useful, in addition to this bicycle training circuit, to provide replacement swings (which generally cater for a broader age range and skill set of kids within our community, rather than simply removing them because they do not meet current playground standards). Toilet facilities, to support the BBQs and picnic shelters, would also be beneficial, along with a decent width of "screen" planting (the 3m distance from residential boundary to the bike path seems unlikely to ever form an effective "screen"). The free electric BBQs sound great.

I believe that Karen Roberts' comments beautifully give feedback about changes to the current plan to meet the actual usage and needs of our community. Thoughtful and well written. While I doubt that toilet facilities will be added, they are certainly needed if this area is to be as well used as it should be for our community! Her thoughts about replacing the mature trees that are in the way of the proposed plan is excellent - we must provide for our wildlife most especially during the current weather traumas for them. BCC planning has missed the mark when it does not consider the actual community and the natural environment's needs. Our new sporting grounds are a prime example of close but not close enough.
