Auxiliary unit SPSR-3313/2019. Despite an email from a planner of Ipswich Council, i still want some straight forward comment on the position of policy, generally. Whilst this is yet another application for an auxiliary unit ,are the council planners fully aware of the total opposition of the Friends of Bellbird Park to Auxiliary and Duplexs.?.. Are these planners aware of the need for the recognition of the Bellbird community groups opposition to these developments, opens the door for mass grtanting of these units The relevant planners case showing the criteria for these unwanted developments suggest this.. It appears that the council are saying that they are bound by the present position and "must' grant permission for these 2 unwanted types of developments? I would think it obvious that even if the council's position on these developments, are they fully aware of the "rush to get permission for these developments under the present regulations re applications for these developments? I put it to the planners that our community are aware that with the number of applications it poses the disregard of the out of control requests for unwanted Auxiliary and duplexes. Is it not the case that these types of developments are being granted in an uncontrolled way and are springing up all over Bellbird Park without any consideration of the overall negative impact and unplanned nature encompassed in the granting of applications for this blight on Bellbird Park ? Our take on this situation is that applications for these Auxiliary units will be granted willy nilly all over Bellbird and as I have suggested before, are largely a way of increasing the value of properties without any reference to the impact on other residents properties, as Auxiliary units move ever closer. If say a new auxiliary unit is allowed imagine say 2 such developments on adjoining properties will have significantly damaged the amenity of each property. When the occupiers sell the problem will intrinsically impact on such amenity. As I have mentioned before over the next 2 years there will be a rush to apply before the due date. The damage will be done by that date, before the new plan for Ipswich is promulgated. Will the Council make it abundantly clear that auxiliary units will at least be rejected based on our opposition ? How small does a property have to be before applications are granted to build these units in the "back yard"?
Get a plan granted and sell at an increased price. So this application must be refused and real effects on other residents be fully taken into account.
