While it is good to see old housing replaced, I see again three units on a small block! Where is new housing for families, not cheap small spaces that suit transient renters and singles/pensioners (can they afford a newly built place)?
Where is the space for garden and some shade trees?
Will there be onsite parking, remembering most households these days have two cars each.
Umina is becoming too dense from on-street parking, too hot from tree canopy loss and too noisy from people living cheek-by-jowl (which is why they left Sydney?)
If this project is to go ahead, can the owners at least reduce the lots to two?

There seems to be a lot of naive people that comment on the planning applications.
There garbage that Umina is hottest suburb on coast and 4deg warmer. what a crock.
Its same anywhere. and there enough tress in the suburb. How would you like your house in bushfire zone and people wanting more trees planted.
Developers who plan and build 3 townhouses on a block which used to have 1 house are allowed. Its the planning law. want to whinge about it,tell the council who enforce these rules. The Peninsula is growing and adapting to new development and growth. dont like it move to Wyong or Campbelltown.
    cant stop progress.

The altetnative is to actually manage progress and development . E.g. some councils limit multiple or dual occupancy to no more than every third lot, so that there is a mix of housing. The Inner West Council has targets re the green canopy for the area for which the current status has been analysed by suburb so the gap is known and can be managed. Who has ever lived in a bush fire area and people want more trees planted?
It’s not naive to want to be proactive and build a community rather than just let
    greed and ignorance prevail.

Move to Wyong or Campbelltown..says all about who wrote this comment.

So many Northern Beaches and Sydney families were moving to the Peninsula. We are priced out of these suburbs, however we want to stay close to our families.
Sadly, the Peninsula is losing this appeal as it becoming a high-density focused housing estate. Woy Woy is high density and that is great. Ettalong is medium density and that's also great. Please let's keep Umina low density. This is sustainable and sensible development.

Of note: the number of vacant units and "granny flats" should be indicative to Council of the excess of these properties in this area.
