This application is very suspicious. We live right at the back of their block. They claimed they had sent notification letters to us but they did not. And that particular letter was about creating a drainage easement on my land. Very selfish and unreasonable.

The application is also unnecessarily large. It’s the largest in the whole Brisbane ave and the Tryon road at the back. The imperious area is over 65% of the land, over 718 sqm. Their stormwater storage system design will be useless when we have the extreme weather, like the downpours in the last four years. This will create a draining problem that does not exist before. Knowing this, the owner then asks for a draining easement on the neighbour’s land. Totally unreasonable.

The new building has a pool and concrete outdoor entertaining area that is built on top of a sewerage main pipe. This will compose a big possible problem for the nearby household.

The oversized building also intrudes the privacy of the nearby 5 houses. The land of the house already higher than the rest of the neighbours. The balcony on its first floor overlooks the back yards of those 5 neighbours, and windows of their bedrooms. One of the houses with a swimming pool and only one level will have their outdoor life completely exposed to this oversized house.

It would be very unresponsible for the council to let this application through the procedure, because of its doggy practice of communication with the neighbours, its extremely selfish proposal that will damage the interest of the neighbours, its sheer size that violates the building to land size ratio in the ku ring gai area, and its problem with privacy of the other households due to its size and design.
