I fully support this application and the new owners plans for its future. Once again this historically significant property will be available for the public to enjoy. And what a treasure, not only for our little town but for Port Stephens in general.

This beautiful home has been rotting away for years and it’s wonderful to see it finally being restored and maintained. What a huge undertaking it must have been. I can’t wait to visit and wish the new owners much success.

It would be lovely to see this home restored and used again, I have fond memories as a child visiting, and it would be a lovely place to hold weddings in the beautiful gardens, and for guests to learn about the history of this beautiful place.

This house has historic value to the community and township as a place that partially could be utilised for public usage per submission.
The house has scope and has been used previously to host guests as a cafe for many years successfully. Small functions and bespoke weddings would be wonderful usage of this property if the new owners are happy to see it being used as a historic and heritage community assets.
I love the house. There is so much the community would lose out on if public were no longer allowed to hire the Facilities

I got married at Tanilba House in 2013. The restoration of this property by the owners have been amazing.

We moved to this area about 18 months ago, and being a close neighbour this historical house was looking very tired and rundown, with the gardens needing attention. Over the past year we have seen this historical house transformed back into its former glory by the current owners; it looks wonderful and the gardens are looking lovely.
I think this will be fantastic to open this house up as a function centre. Many more people, from locals to people afar, will be able to visit as guests, while also having a history lesson of historical icon.

Tanilba House is integral to the history of the area. To see it being used for functoons is a perfect use of such an historic building. It is good to see it will be maintained and rise to its former glory.
I have visited the house for over 40 years and it is sad to watch its decline. The restoring of such a stunning example of architecture is vital to our history and future generations to learn from its past.

We use to live in Tanilba bay and it was a shame to see the house wasting away. It will be fantastic to see the house being used again.
It is such a important part of the history for the area, it needs to be preserved for future generations.
The progress of the house has been wonderful to watch! I personally can’t wait to tour the house in person.

I am really looking forward to seeing Tanilba House reactiviated with public access vja functions and boutique events. It was such a relief to learn that the new owners plan to open and share the house from time to time It would have been a tragedy if this had gone to new owners who wanted to keep it as a hideaway. This will now be an asset to Port Stephens and testimony to the history of the area.

This beautiful old building will once again be used for wedding and events, just as it should be. We can only wish the new owners and Coco & Lil all the best for the future. Such a great historical asset for the district.

Tanilba house is in a beautiful location in Tanilba bay. Over the years I have had visits there.
The new owners have shown the house some love and it would be wonderful for our community to have a location for events to take place. It is situated I an area where parking wouldn't be a problem .
I personally would love to see this go ahead
