No information provided above...thus almost impossible to comment on...hope they dont drive

John, another view is one of hope that the residents would drive so they do not take the trolleys from the shopping centre to clutter the footpaths. Either way the development adds to further undesirable congestion in the area.

This section of Waitara is too congested to consider placing a seniors’ residence there. There would be no room for visitors to park. A few small shops are within walking distance but the seniors will need to be very fit to reach them as access is via a staircase. Waitara Station does not have a lift either so that means more steps.

Not sure why local or State Gov would even consider any more development in the Hornsby Shire.

It was before Phillip Ruddock became Mayor that Hornsby Shire Council Proudly announced that they had EXCEEDED State housing quota in their dwelling approvals.

This is evident in the congestion in the area it can take 15 to 20 minutes to travel 1km through Hornsby, the Internet drops out constantly as there is too many people in the area, the Schools and daycare's are full, the Hospital is under immense pressure, Medical Centres have a 2 hour wait and private practices have their books closed as they cant cope with any more patients!

When is enough..... enough already. This shires over development will have huge ramifications for quality of life to residence as well as a financial burden to State and Local Governments in the future keeping up with maintenance to roads, infrastructure, crime and services required to support the slums you are building in the once beautiful area.
