1. Before number 1447 was sold in 2016 it was a lovely house with distinctive Federation details (check it out on Google Street View). Over the last 2 years it has been stripped of all the facade items that made it worthy of being listed on the local heritage list and now they're claiming it's not significant enough to be heritage listed and therefore should be demolished to make room to new developments! This is outrageous and I will lodge an official objection against it. Council should have taken the necessary measures to prevent this heritage item (one of the few left in the area) from losing its character in such an obvious and purposeful way. It needs to be restored to its former glory, not demolished.

2. Council has basically allowed a heritage building to be stripped and items demolished over a period of time by the owner of these properties with absolutely NO consequences. At the very least the owner MUST be forced to work around the existing building and not be allowed to just demolish them. It is obvious that following the demolition of all these buildings a DA will be submitted for mixed use development or similar. With proper planning the existing heritage buildings can be restored and additional units designed to be sympathetic to the building and surrounding areas.

3. all I can say is one thing Council should be ashamed of themselves for letting every inch of land to be turned into any type of home units etc. Botany Road cannot take any more extra people into the area, it is hard enough on both week days and weeks ends driving on Botany Road and what about any transport NO ONE seems to care about Botany only 2 buses and they don't even go to Circular Quay, we seem to be the forgotten suburb
