Unbelievable that someone has the nerve to want flatten this beauty of a house. Have filed an objection and getting the neighbors to do the same.

A great pity that such beauty in an heritage overlay should even be contemplated for demolition. Professor John Nieuwenhuysen

If this is the type of property we as a community are looking to demolish comes to fruition, then this area is doomed. The heritage overlay should stand for something!!! Not Happy!!!

What is the point of a Heritage Overlay? Has the owner made a significant contribution to Council to allow them to demolish their building? If not, why are they exempted? Please explain.

It is a disgrace, this is such a beautiful building. What is the point of the heritage overlay. Why does this keep happening, what is the planning department thinking.

I understand that the tenants have a 15 year set in concrete lease on this property. So whatever it’s fate, it will be a long time coming. And by then, we may be lucky enough to have some decent councillors.
