I really think this development needs to be re considered as if this development goes ahead it will make it 10 units all built on the 1 corner and as it stands now there is cars parked all over the street on that corner as they are all rented out to students and all have a car, and it is already a massive safety concern for for vehicles trying to drive the street as there is just no room and with all the cars you can’t see if anything is coming the other way. I really do think it needs to be looked into as the subdivision already has a way higher percentage of units already established than houses.

Comments on the ongoing development of the Old Brickworks/Hume Kerrison Timber Yard site:- We opted to build in this area, because it was promised that the subdivision would be an elite build and a great location.

We have been continually frustrated with the number of units given council approval, and along with this approval comes ordinary size blocks having a 3 and 4 bedroom so-called townhouse built on each!! With this comes no sales, so they become rented to goodness knows who!!

In this day and age everyone has a car, have a look near schools and try and count the numbers. At 62 Legges Crescent we already have six units [2 only with 2 bedrooms] - with another 2 units under construction at 43 Legges Crescent!! With 2 more at 62 Legges Crescent making a total of 10 units surrounding a 90 degree corner the recipe for a traffic hazard in the future, is even so much greater than it is now!! Each unit surely has garages or spare parking spaces available, except where the council previously approved no extra parking was necessary [60 & 64 Legges Crescent] - so that's why we find cars parked on the street at all times and it is difficult to access our own driveway!!

Add the confusion and danger whilst No 62 is built, together with No 43, - WE HAVE A LOT OF VERY UNHAPPY RESIDENTS!!

PLEASE tell us WHY the council thinks that this scenario is OK where we have to dodge cars, squeeze in and out of our own driveway [as vehicles are constantly parked over our access] - not to mention if we have a visitor - they often have to park in the next street as parking directly outside our house is taken up with tenants from over the road, workmen etc!!

We have to live with this dreadful situation every day and if you approve this new application at 62 Legges Crescent - it will become dramatically worseTerry!!!

I can only concur with the previous comments here, and express my concerns at the already over crowded on street car parking situation at this location. With the already high number of rented units parking their own vehicles along the street, and the ongoing building works on the opposite side of the road , they are parking on half the foot path to give enough clearance for traffic flow, and impeding pedestrian traffic as well. Council really need to address this problem and stop approving multiple dwellings in unsuitable locations. I notice that to fit these units the rear setback appears to be less then the minimum, is this also not in character with dwellings in Legges Crescent. To Quote the Architect, "It is obvious that visitors of neighboring units park in the street" shows just how little understanding they have of the area, these are NOT visitors but the residents of other poorly planned/designed dwellings for the location.
