The tree specified for removal is a highly significant tree . Eucalyptus Acmenoides is now rare in this region & all efforts to retain the tree must be made. Trees on this property originate form the critically endangered Blue Gum High Forest pocket located at Vimiera Park which is less than 100 metres away.

As I recall, Hornsby Council had previously mapped the significance of the tree community on this property as high. I would suggest that number 19 adjoining should not put pressure on the owners to remove the tree as they chose to subdivide their block & reduce the open space around them. This area of Epping has high conservation values & support the biodiversity values of the adjoining bushland reserves of Terrys Creek. It is important that Council preserve these important values & residents respect the worth of those precious natural assets that surround them.

Additional comment . Map supplied re location of tree is a little confusing as it refers to 19 Bulkira location, however all my comments re protecting the tree & its values etc are still applicable

Please do not support the removal of this tree. If the concern is that it may fall on the neighbours property then pruning should be all that is required.

The trees in this area are important because they connect to the Dence park bush nearby. Please do not remove the tree - prune the affected branch if it is dangerous - not the whole tree.
Please retain the remnant bushland for the local fauna to connect between different areas.
Each tree that is removed affects us all - not just your neighbour.
