Why is the special if tree not listed on the Tree Application documentation?

It appears that moving the proposed Granny Flat away from the tree would alleviate the need to remove it altogether. It's not like there is not enough room for the flat to be located closer to the boundary or even further up the block.

The removal of the tree is unnecessary. One could argue that there is no need for another Granny Flat to be built given the number of empty apartments with For Lease signs posted out from of the newly developed blocks in the area literally just up the road.

Please, let's leave the green canopy of Epping as it is. We can't afford to lose any more mature trees.

Please keep the tree. We need to retain our tree canopy. I am so frustrated that we are losing our trees.

  3. M.McCartney commented

I object to the removal of this tree. The application does not show the species of tree or even identify which tree it is on the property. How can a proper assessment be made in view of this lack of information. If this is approved it makes a farce of the CoPC Tree and Vegetation orders which give guidelines on which trees can and cannot be removed.

There is no urgency for another granny flat in Epping as there are now 100s if not 1000s of vacant apartments. Please keep the tree and modify the granny flat.

  4. Irene for friends of Terrys Creek commented

Please investigate the species to identify by a respected professionally & qualified person. We need to know the species. Also consider that increasing densities in this area is not appropriate. Trees in this vicinity are an important stepping stone for birds in the connectivity of the critically endangered blue gum high forest of edna hunt reserve to the bghf extending from Vimiera park Terrys Creek. They should receive the highest level of protection.

Mature trees cannot be replaced. Epping’s reputation as a “leafy” suburb is being quickly eroded from the the development beyond the rezoned precinct in the heart of the suburb
