Why do people not like trees. When they buy into the area they know its tree lined for the benefit of all the community. It they do not like trees go live in an apartment or town house

Why? Who will this ‘deforestation’ benefit. Removing trees changes the micro environment for the worse. If the trees are not posing any danger, they should not be removed just because some people don’t like trees.

  3. David Grover commented

This is an excessive destruction of significant tree cover.
No rationale is provided for this request.

A look at 15-17 Barton Road through Google Street view reveals a large ageing apartment complex, with only the scattered eucalyptus trees (gum trees) softening its stark appearance. They look great, they provide greenery and interest, and they are probably enjoyed by the many residents of that building. Why do 6 need to be removed? WCC please consider the impact this will have and consider other ways of dealing with whatever the issue is.
