    Can the development officer please emphasise to the property owners the importance of retaining healthy canopy trees?

    We hope that the DA will include the requirement to replace any shade producing trees with similar shade producing species.

    While renewal of buildings on the Peninsula is good to see, we are losing established shade trees at an alarming rate. Can the owners retain one or some of the trees in the back and side yard?
    Also, with the increasing number of granny flats being approved, can Council ensure owners are providing sufficient off-street parking for tenant's cars (at least two spaces)?
