I haven't seen the plans but the idea of removing native vegetation next to a creek in the heart of Melbourne seems like a disastrous (greedy? thoughtless? arrogant?) proposal. How could anyone believe this is reasonable?

I'd like to know what considerations are being made given the historical significance of this site - believed to be the location of Batman's Treaty.

Melbourne needs more green spaces not less - particularly next to creeks which act as wildlife corridors for what little wildlife is left. The maximisation of profit for greedy developers has meant the future for residents is bleak. Vegetation next to creeks should be protected not destroyed.

This is an appalling situation - the site has sacred heritage sensitivities .
Developing this site is just wrong !
High density living packed onto an area that supports native wildlife and should be a green space enjoyed by all .
Please have some sense - in the long run, living in a concrete jungle doesn’t benefit any of us .
We do need nature to assist in maintaining breathable air - this proposal is a prime example of what’s happened to over developed cities globally . The general health of populations is seriously compromised by constant clearing of bush land and wildlife to make room for more and more and more development .
In the long run , it only lines the developers pockets .
Please please don’t allow this .

This is a disgrace - native habitat and green space destroyed! The inner suburbs are bearing far too much of the burden of population growth, which should be spread over all of Melbourne (just look at the population densities of the different areas of Melbourne). Developers massive profits should NOT be put ahead of future liveability for residents.

This is more outrageous developer-led vandalism. Far too many dwellings, far too dense and the vegetation has to be protected. Please reject or scale this development back by about 70%

This is a precious location, the front door to Northcote and Darebin, and one of the few access points to the Merri Creek. The thought of removing ANY native vegiitation here terrifies me - particularly when the only reason for doing so is personal profit.
