    Streetscape:
The physical setting of a shipping container, even with cladding materials, is not consistent with the existing dwellings. The proposed development would not add to or enhance the current aesthetic appeal in the street.
There is no sealed footpath in front of the proposed development. Dickinson Street slopes downward to James Street. This does not provide a safe walking space for increased pedestrian traffic “walking up to the front” of the kiosk.
The proposed planting of avocado trees on either side of the container would encourage bats to the area. This would introduce unwanted noise and droppings into the surrounding dwellings.
    Traffic:
The proposed development application has little information regarding Roadway Level-of-Service. It is difficult to predict exactly how much vehicle traffic will in the immediate term or grow in the future. Even a small differences in traffic on this stretch of road would have significant impact on congestion and safety. Cars entering Dickinson Street from James Street constantly have to take evasive action to avoid cars pulling out from the kerb. There is no plan associated with a contingencies plan if traffic becomes an issue.
The expected vehicle types as stated in the application would be more than person vehicle delivering groceries and would use the kerb in front of the proposed development and adjoining dwellings.

On behalf of: Mr John Pinter and Mrs Dale Francis Pinter
I am writing to object to the proposal of the application of the kiosk at 57 Dickinson Street Charlestown.
    My concerns are:
    1. I have lived here for 40 years
    2. I am a shift worker and worried about the hours worked on the property, 7 days a week, 9 hours per day
    3. Traffic in the street
    4. Parking
    5. Privacy
    6. I have 7 grandchildren which I am worried about letting them in my front yard
    7. Devaluation of my property by building this kiosk
    8. I am worried about the old people that live in my street, They have lived here well over 50 years and got carers and other services coming during the day
    9. Going to plant Avocado trees on his property which will bring bats and possums to the property
