Re: Planning application - reference MPS/2013/249 - 99B Lygon Street Brunswick East
I object to any reduction in the number of car spaces available for parking, as one of the reasons car parking is so difficult in the inner suburbs is the continual reduction or waiving of car parking requirements that has occurred in the past.
Parking problems simply flow from one part of the inner suburbs to other parts - no reduction of car parking requirements should be made anywhere as the spread of parking problems is diffuse but ongoing.
I do not object to a reduction of bike spaces as bike parking is more easily accommodated by surrounding neighborhood features.
I have no other objections.
