- Description
- Crudine Ridge Wind Farm - Construction and operation of a wind farm comprising between 70 and 110 turbines, at between 1.5 and 3.4 Megawatts each, located across a 16 km span along Crudine Ridge. Associated infrastructure includes underground connection (where possible) to a collector substation, facilities building, a new 13 km easement along which a 132 kV power line will be installed to connect to existing transmission lines, a switching substation, access tracks and temporary concrete batching plant. Controlled Action under EPBC Act The Commonwealth Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Populations and Communities determined that the proposed development is a "controlled action" under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (the EPBC Act). The EPBC Act Part 3, Division 1 controlling provisions are sections - 18 and 18A (Listed threatened species and communities), and - 20 and 20A (Listed migratory species). The project will be assessed by way of accredited assessment process under section 87 of the EPBC Act. The accredited assessment process for the proposed development is Part 3A of the New South Wales Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
